Acida Dominga and the Argument With a 303
A Berlin producer whose entire released catalogue sits on one label, Eternal States, and who has spent 2026 moving from a Brooklyn warehouse bill shared with Paranoid London to a Detroit-techno programme at Amsterdam Dance Event. One date is currently on sale.
A Berlin name that says what the gear is
The name functions as a statement of method rather than a character. Acida is acid — the squelching, self-oscillating filter sound that a Roland TB-303 bass line produces when it is pushed past its intended use — and the records that carry the name do very little to disguise where that sound comes from. One single is called 707+303, which is simply the model numbers of a drum machine and a bass synthesiser set next to one another. For a producer working in a genre that has spent four decades borrowing mystique, the plainness is the point.
Her own published biography places her in Berlin, born and raised there, and describes a dedication to the raw, authentic sound of acid, blended with intense vocals and the hypnotic rhythms that the format produces, set against the harder pulse of techno. The Milan record shop Serendeepity, which stocked her first pressing, described her as having carved out a niche that is visual as much as musical — a reference to the heavily stylised religious-iconography artwork and photography that has accompanied the project from the start.
The recorded output is recent. Her artist entries on the streaming platforms date from 2024, and the first release under the name arrived that year. By any ordinary measure this is an artist two years into a public career, which makes the company she was keeping by early 2026 the more notable fact about her.
Eternal States, counted from ES001
Everything she has issued has come out on Eternal States, and her debut is the label's first catalogue number. Imagination Creates Reality appeared in 2024 and was then pressed to a 12-inch as ES001 in 2025, priced at €25 and sold through specialist shops including Serendeepity, where it is now out of stock. A label whose first release is its founding artist's debut tends to mean one of two things — a vanity imprint or a working relationship — and in this case the catalogue has kept growing around her rather than stopping at the one record.
707+303 followed in February 2025 and At Your Command in April 2025. Both are singles rather than EPs, released at the pace of a producer who finishes a track and puts it out rather than banking material for an album cycle. A further track, State of Consciousness, exists on Eternal States in a remixed form by The Black Chamber, the alias of the German techno producer Alexander Kowalski.
The remix package for Imagination Creates Reality, released in 2025, is the most revealing item in the discography because it shows who was prepared to work on her material. The remixers listed are Italo Brutalo, Kafkactrl, The Black Chamber and Parand — a spread that runs from Italo-disco-inflected club music through to straight techno, which suggests the source tracks are flexible enough to be pulled in several directions.
Another track, Lost Highways, was given a premiere by Mixmag Spain, which remains the clearest piece of press attention the project has drawn from an established music title. The most recent release is The Greatest Gift, issued on Eternal States on 22 May 2026, and it is a single rather than a longer record. There is no album.
A small circuit of collaborators
The relationship with Italo Brutalo runs in both directions and is the most substantive working partnership on the record. He remixed Imagination Creates Reality for the 2025 package, and she in turn produced an Acida Dominga remix of his track Chasing Shadows. When she played Brooklyn in February 2026 he was on the same bill, billed as a DJ set against her live performance. Two producers trading remixes and then sharing a stage is the ordinary shape of a scene forming around a sound, and it is visible here in miniature.
The Kowalski connection matters for different reasons. A producer with a two-decade catalogue taking a remix on a label's early releases is a form of endorsement that does not require a press release. By the time of the Amsterdam booking in October 2026 she was being placed alongside Alinka, the Chicago-rooted DJ and producer, as the contemporary half of a line-up otherwise built from Detroit and Chicago originators.
Where things stand in October 2026
The current position rests on two dates and one record. The record is The Greatest Gift, out on 22 May 2026. The first date was Night Cult at House of Yes, 2 Wyckoff Avenue in Brooklyn, on Saturday 7 February 2026, a 21-and-over show starting at 10pm with Paranoid London headlining the main room as a live act, Acida Dominga also performing live, and Italo Brutalo DJing. Paranoid London's own live format — TB-303 lines, distortion and hiss, closer to punk and industrial than to polite house — tells most of what needs saying about the room she was booked into.
The second is the date currently on sale. On Friday 23 October 2026 she appears at Q-Factory, Atlantisplein 1 in Amsterdam, for Elypsia Music Group presents Four Decades of Detroit Techno, a pre-release event tied to a forthcoming compilation and programmed as part of Amsterdam Dance Event. The event runs from 2pm to 4am. The line-up is Juan Atkins, Octave One, Scan 7, Terrence Dixon, Kenny Larkin, DJ Pierre, Pascal Hetzel, CEM3340 & 2030, Dimitri K, DJ Deg, ISIS, Alinka and Acida Dominga, with the main room given to Atkins' Metroplex catalogue and its descendants. She is billed to the house room, with Alinka, as the newer generation on a programme otherwise assembled from founders.
What is not yet available is critical writing about her performances. The coverage so far has been release-side — a Mixmag Spain premiere, shop listings, platform entries — rather than live reviews, which is typical of an artist whose touring profile has grown faster than the press around it.
Live, and billed as live
The distinction between a DJ set and a live set is doing real work in her bookings. She published her first live acid set under the name to video, describing it as hardware only — machines, sequencing and performance rather than prepared stems — and the Brooklyn bill in February 2026 carried the parenthetical Live against her name while Italo Brutalo's read DJ set. On a shared bill with Paranoid London, who perform their acid house as a live hardware act, the pairing was deliberate rather than incidental.
What that means in practice is a set that is sequenced in the room rather than mixed from records: 303 bass lines built and filtered on the fly over drum-machine patterns, with the vocal elements that run through her releases surfacing as hooks rather than as songs. The Amsterdam programme lists both DJ sets and live performances across its fourteen artists without specifying which she is delivering, so the format for 23 October is not yet confirmed in print.
The show, now
She performs as a live hardware act as often as she DJs, and promoters bill the two separately: at Night Cult in House of Yes, Brooklyn, on 7 February 2026 her name carried the parenthetical Live in the main room alongside Paranoid London, also live, while Italo Brutalo played a DJ set — a 21-and-over show from 10pm. Her first live outing under the name, posted to video, was described as hardware only, which in practice means 303 bass lines filtered and sequenced in the room over drum-machine patterns, with the vocal hooks from her Eternal States singles surfacing inside the tracks rather than being performed as songs. Set lengths are not published for either of her recent bookings, and no setlists have been posted. The next date, Elypsia Music Group presents Four Decades of Detroit Techno at Q-Factory in Amsterdam on 23 October 2026, runs 2pm to 4am across two rooms; she is billed to the house room with Alinka while Juan Atkins, Octave One, Scan 7, Terrence Dixon, Kenny Larkin and DJ Pierre hold the main room, and the programme does not yet state whether her contribution is live or a DJ set. Published live reviews of her performances do not yet exist.
