Valencia, and four years of uploading

Alleh Mezher was born on 13 December 2003 in Valencia, Venezuela, and began putting out music around 2020 under the single name Alleh. The first track to appear was "Baby Guaya", one of a run of self-released songs that moved between reggaeton, Latin pop and electronic production and built him a small following on streaming platforms before any label was involved.

His eventual partner came from the same city. Yorghaki Yacoub, born 3 May 1999 and raised in the Las Mercedes district, took his stage name from his father's initials and studied at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. He released his own debut single, "La Primera Vez", in 2017, an EP called Un día a la vez in 2021, and signed his first Warner Music Latina single, "inigualable", in 2022. The two came together as singer and producer rather than as a conventional band, and their first joint release, "Deja Vu", arrived in 2024.

A chorus written in December 2023

The song that changed the scale of both careers was almost abandoned. Alleh and Yorghaki wrote the intro and chorus of "capaz" in December 2023, left it, and returned to it months later with the Venezuelan producer Manuel Lara, who helped finish the track. What they landed on was a merengue rhythm pushed through reggaeton and electronic production — marketed with the parenthetical "merengueton", and sometimes described as tecnomerengue.

The record moved first on TikTok, where it passed 109,000 video creations, and then on radio. It reached number one in Spain, was certified platinum there in January 2025, and entered the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart in February 2025, peaking at number 46. Alleh has described it plainly as the song that changed their lives; Yorghaki has framed the whole project as an experiment in curiosity that made everything afterwards possible.

The album it belonged to, La Ciudad, ran to 12 tracks and appeared in December 2024, credited to Alleh y Yorghaki. Alongside "capaz" it carried "La Radio", "Ultravioleta", "El Ingeniero" and "Me Late", with several cuts leaning on afrobeat patterns rather than merengue.

The year the rooms got bigger

The live operation scaled inside twelve months. In March 2025 the duo played two sold-out nights at Sala Mon in Madrid, the second on 26 March, structuring the show as four chapters built around the album's urban conceit: 12 songs, opening with "La Ciudad" itself, with the singer Gus appearing as a guest.

On 30 June 2025 they announced the Venezuelan leg of the La Ciudad World Tour through the promoter Cúsica — 14 August at the Concha Acústica de Bello Monte in Caracas, 20 August at the Hotel Tibisay in Maracaibo, 21 August at the Anfiteatro Arena in Barquisimeto, 23 August at the Forum de Valencia and 26 August at Marea Club in Lechería, with tickets tiered from around 30 to 100 dollars. The Valencia date sold out on Ticketplate before the run began.

The summer filled in around it: a slot at Ushuaïa in Ibiza alongside Feid, an appearance at Bresh, and a remix with the DJ Hugel. A United States run opened on 9 October 2025 in Hollywood, Florida. The tour then closed in Spain — Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona on 5 November 2025, and Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid on 8 November, an arena finish to a year that had started in a club.

What the awards season returned

The Madrid arena show came 48 hours after the LOS40 Music Awards Santander ceremony on 7 November 2025, where "capaz (merengueton)" took Best Latin Song of the Year — the duo performed at the ceremony and arrived at Vistalegre with the trophy still fresh. Earlier in the year they had also won the Tropical Mix category at Premios Juventud 2025.

At the 26th Latin Grammy Awards on 13 November 2025, Alleh was nominated for Best New Artist as a solo act — not as half of the duo — while "capaz" was nominated for Best Urban/Urban Fusion Performance. The solo nomination turned out to be a signpost.

Working apart

Through 2026 the two have run separate projects. Yorghaki released his own solo album, Antes de que sea tarde, in June 2026. Alleh has spent the year assembling a solo debut, his first record without the partnership that made him known, and has been careful about how he describes the separation: in his words, the two of them are working on their own things but always in contact, still close friends, with further collaborations not ruled out.

The album has come out in pieces. "DesOrden" was the first single of 2026, followed by "amoureux", cut in the Dominican Republic and built on a mix of French and Caribbean vernacular. He also features on "TUTUTU" with Elena Rose, its video shot in Miami. Speaking to Rolling Stone en Español on 28 September 2026, he said the record took roughly a year to gestate after the La Ciudad tour, written and produced across New York, Miami, Mexico City, Madrid and the Dominican Republic, with love as its central subject and a deliberate insistence on Venezuelan detail. He describes himself as an international artist who still lives in Venezuela, and calls the next single "1+1".

He has named Quevedo as an artist he wants to work with, and has confirmed that a tour will follow the album, with dates planned across Venezuela and Spain. Those headline shows have not yet been dated publicly.

Where he is playing now

Until the album tour is announced, the 2026 diary is festival and multi-artist work. On 17 October 2026 he appears at the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina at the Kaseya Center in Miami, on a bill that includes Anuel AA, Myke Towers, Farruko, Manuel Turizo, Eladio Carrión, Blessd, FloyyMenor and Greeicy, with Lin-Manuel Miranda receiving the event's Corazón Latino award.

He then plays Coca-Cola Flow Fest at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City across 28 and 29 November 2026. That lineup was announced on 1 June 2026, led by Anuel AA, Ozuna, Kali Uchis, Manuel Turizo, Farruko, Tito Double P, Chencho Corleone, Trueno and Grupo Frontera, with Alleh among the named supporting acts; presales opened on 4 June and general sale on 5 June.
