A brewery taproom in Wedding, handed over to drag at lunchtime
Bottoms Up Brunch! is a drag and burlesque afternoon produced by the British-born, Berlin-based performer Felicity Felicis inside the Vagabund brewery's Kesselhaus taproom. Its most recent outing was a Christopher Street Day special on 25 July 2026, and nothing further is currently on sale.
A brewery, a Saturday, and a show that does not belong there
Vagabund Brauerei's Kesselhaus stands at Oudenarder Straße 16–20 in the north of Wedding, a working brewery taproom whose programme otherwise runs to old-time American music sessions, folk nights, an October beer festival, an art market of local makers, a taco festival and a recurring bingo night hosted by a drag compère. It is a beer room first and a performance room second, which is precisely what makes the brunch an odd and useful fit: the bar is already stocked, the floor is already open, and nobody has to build a theatre.
The earliest edition on public record is Saturday 24 June 2023, running from 2pm to 6pm, with a bill of three — Felicity Felicis, Nana Schewitz and Fifi Fantôme — and a guest food vendor brought in to cover the brunch half of the bargain. Tickets were €12 and included a mimosa on arrival. The producer's own framing was blunter than most listings copy: what Wedding really needed, the pitch ran, was a boozy brunch, promising burlesque artists, drag acts, drinks and food in that order.
The structure of that first bill has held since. Vagabund pours its own beer and cocktails, an outside trader handles the food, and the performance sits on top of an afternoon people would arguably have spent in the taproom anyway. It is a local proposition rather than a tourist one — Wedding is not a district that draws cabaret traffic from Mitte — and the ticket price has been set accordingly.
The producer behind it
Felicity Felicis is British, lives in Berlin, and made her burlesque debut in 2016. She works under the banner of the Rock 'n' Roll Showgirl, setting 1960s and 1970s rock against classic bump-and-grind rather than the more common jazz-and-feathers register, and she performs across the UK, continental Europe and the United States.
Her standing in the wider burlesque world is measurable rather than asserted. She placed 28th in 21st Century Burlesque Magazine's Burlesque TOP 50 for 2025, listed under Germany. That poll has run since 2009 on an open ballot — performers, non-performing professionals, fans and readers vote on who they consider the most influential figures in the industry, with the count processed and verified by the magazine's editor-in-chief, Holli Mae Johnson, and the results published between Christmas and New Year. She had already appeared in the magazine's inaugural Ones To Watch list for 2024, a companion roll in which each member of that year's TOP 50 nominated one emerging artist; her entry there described her as a superstar whose mixing of 60s and 70s rock and roll with bumps and grinds makes for unforgettable performances.
She produces as well as performs. Alongside Bottoms Up! Brunch at the Kesselhaus, she runs The Sinners Saloon at Crack Bellmer in Friedrichshain, and she works as a stage manager on larger Berlin events. Her own site also lists her as currently touring with AIDA Cruises — a commitment that, at minimum, competes with a Berlin residency for calendar space.
What twelve euros bought
The economics of the show are worth spelling out because they explain its shape. At €12 with a drink included, there is no room for a large cast, a technical rider or a booked headliner flown in. What the ticket has consistently covered is a short bill of solo turns — three named performers on the 2023 edition, with the producer both hosting and dancing — spread across a four-hour window rather than delivered as one continuous set.
That makes it a different animal from the American drag-brunch model, where a seated table service and a set menu are bundled into a far higher ticket. Here the food is optional and bought separately from whichever vendor is trading that day, and the audience is standing, sitting, eating and drinking through the afternoon. The performance punctuates the room instead of commanding it.
It also means the series can appear and disappear without much consequence. There is no production to keep warm between dates, no cast on retainer, and no venue hire to recoup — which is both the reason it has survived three years of intermittent staging and the reason gaps of several months pass without comment.
The run, and the Pride edition
The brunch carried on through 2024, selling through Eventbrite with Vagabund Brauerei itself listed as the organiser; the edition of Saturday 16 November 2024 ran from 1pm to 5pm at the Kesselhaus, an hour earlier than the 2023 start, and sold out its allocation before the date.
By 2026 the series had shifted an hour earlier again and moved to Universe for ticketing. The edition of Saturday 25 July 2026 was billed as a CSD special, timed to Berlin's Christopher Street Day weekend, with a midday start at the Kesselhaus and a listing category of Arts & Theatre, Variety. That is the most recent staging that can be confirmed, and it is the clearest statement of what the show has become: a drag and burlesque bill programmed into Pride weekend in a district some distance from where Berlin's Pride crowds usually end up.
Nothing has been announced since. As of 23 September 2026, Vagabund's own events calendar runs from an old-time music session on 24 September through to a Tunes & Tastes night on 29 October, with beer festivals, bingo and a taco festival in between, and no brunch anywhere on it.
Standing now
No dates are on sale. That is not the same as a cancellation — there has been no statement of any kind, and the series has never run to a fixed monthly rhythm that a gap would break. A handful of editions a year, announced a few weeks out, has been the pattern since 2023, and the July Pride edition is only two months behind.
What has changed is the producer's availability. Felicity Felicis's cruise-ship contract is the kind of engagement that removes a performer from a city for months at a time, and a show built around one producer who hosts, books the bill, and dances on it has no obvious way to run without her.
The show's position in the Berlin scene is small but specific: it is an afternoon slot in a district that has very little cabaret, at a price that undercuts the city's evening variety rooms by a wide margin, staged by a performer whose peers rank her among the fifty most influential figures in burlesque worldwide. Whether it returns depends less on demand than on one diary.
The show, now
An edition runs about four hours, with the start time having crept earlier across the series — 2pm to 6pm in June 2023, 1pm to 5pm in November 2024, and a midday start for the CSD special of 25 July 2026. The room is the Vagabund brewery's Kesselhaus taproom in Wedding rather than a theatre: no raised stage or fly tower, the brewery bar serving its own beer and cocktails throughout, and a guest food trader brought in to supply the brunch, which is bought separately from the ticket. There is no support act in the usual sense; Felicity Felicis hosts and performs, and the bill around her is a short line-up of solo drag and burlesque turns — three named performers in total on the 2023 edition — spaced through the afternoon rather than delivered in one block, so the audience eats and drinks between numbers. The €12 ticket in 2023 included a mimosa on arrival, later listings offering a non-alcoholic alternative. No review of any edition has been published by the Berlin listings press, and the ticketing pages carry no aggregated audience ratings, so what survives of audience reaction is only that the November 2024 date closed its sales before the day.
