Origins: a foundation idea that became a touring format

Everlight Concerts began as a cultural project of Fundacja Pestka, a Wrocław-based charity established in 2021. The foundation describes Everlight as a new strand of its activity, presenting “instrumental music in the glow of a thousand candles.” The first Everlight date was announced for 4 April 2025 in the Baroque Oratorium Marianum at the University of Wrocław, with the foundation promising further cities to follow. Local listings confirm that the opening night took place at Oratorium Marianum with paid entry.

What they programme: film themes, pop re-scored and scene tributes

The Everlight format is theme‑led. ‘Największe hity Coldplay’ places a string quartet in the centre of the room for arrangements of Viva la Vida, Fix You, Paradise and The Scientist; a Wrocław page trails the La Belle quartet as the ensemble and gives a 20:15 start time for the Oratorium Marianum. A recurring ‘Muzyka filmowa’ programme frames scores by Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean), Howard Shore (The Shire from The Lord of the Rings), Justin Hurwitz (La La Land), James Horner (The Ludlows) and Polish classics such as Waldemar Kazanecki’s Walc Barbary from Noce i Dnie; Warsaw and Białystok listings specify Antidotum Quartet as the ensemble and place the set at around 60–70 minutes.

The series also leans into screen‑culture spin‑offs. ‘Bridgertonowie’ recasts contemporary hits (Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams, Madonna, Coldplay, Miley Cyrus) in Regency‑style quartet charts, with pages for Wrocław, Łódź and Gdańsk crediting La Belle or Antidotum Quartet and giving piece lists and entry times. ‘Stranger Things’ flips the palette to 1980s synth‑era themes played by a quartet. Pop‑artist focus nights appear too: ‘The best of Adele’ has been trailed in Gdańsk for the Baltic Philharmonic’s small hall.

Rock material comes in two flavours. ‘Klasyki rocka’ is an acoustic string‑quartet treatment of AC/DC, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Queen, Nirvana, Bon Jovi, U2 and others, while ‘Rockowe ballady przy świecach’ is fronted by the duo Ladies EM (singer Marzena Matyla with guitarist Dominika Białostocka) plus rhythm section, and runs longer — Katowice listings show c.75 minutes, with programme examples including Stairway to Heaven, Hotel California and Nothing Else Matters.

Other one‑offs and seasonal headers broaden the brief. ‘Złoty wiek Hollywood’ (Warsaw, April 2026) billed two vocal soloists — Monika Wiśniowska‑Basel (The Voice of Poland finalist) and Marzena Matyla — with the Everlight Grand Band (piano, drums, guitar and a string section). A Women’s Day ‘Girl Power’ night (Warsaw, 8 March) put Praski Quartet behind songs by Adele, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. Across these strands the curatorial line is consistent: concise, familiar repertoires refitted for intimate forces under candlelight, typically with venues capped well under symphonic scale.

Where it plays: heritage rooms and arthouse cinemas

The series is rooted in Lower Silesia but has pushed out along Poland’s main concert corridors. Wrocław appears regularly — from Oratorium Marianum for the launch to later bookings at Centrum Kultury Agora and the Sala Teatralna NOT. In Warsaw, set‑ups have included the Pałac Staszica (ul. Nowy Świat 72) and Kino Wisła (Plac Wilsona). Outside the capital, Everlight dates have been published for Łódź at ArtKombinat Scena Monopolis (Kopcińskiego 62a); Katowice at Scena Gliwicka 120 (ul. Gliwicka 120); Białystok at Aula Kongresowa WANS (ul. Ciepła 40); and Gdańsk at the Baltic Philharmonic’s chamber hall on Ołowianka. City hubs on Everlight’s own menu also include Kraków, Poznań, Lublin and Częstochowa, with Poznań pages showing ‘Klasyki rocka’ and ‘Bridgertonowie’ through 2025–26.

How it runs: short, seated, candlelit — and strictly LED

House rules and format are uniform across pages. Doors generally open 30–45 minutes before the advertised start; programmes run roughly 60 minutes without an interval, although rock‑band or special‑theme nights can last 70–75 minutes. Minimum age is usually six (under‑16s accompanied by an adult). The FAQ states that open flame is not used — the rooms are set with professional LED candles for safety. Event notes and ticketing pages often advise that late entry is not possible, and some Warsaw pages flag limited accessibility at heritage venues.

Their year to date — and what’s next

After the 2025 launch, the 2026 calendar has filled out across the same circuit. Listings show Wrocław on 5 June 2026 and further summer shows in Warsaw on 7 June 2026 across the film‑music and composer‑focus strands. Into the autumn, new dates are live: in Wrocław, ‘Bridgertonowie’ is set for 13 September 2026 at Centrum Kultury Agora, with La Belle as the quartet; and ‘Rockowe ballady przy świecach’ lands on 10 October 2026 at Sala Teatralna NOT, fronted by Ladies EM and billed at around 75 minutes. Warsaw has ‘Muzyka filmowa’ advertised on 11 October 2026, again crediting Antidotum Quartet. Earlier in the summer, the Łódź stop at ArtKombinat (14 June 2026) carried the Bridgerton‑themed programme across two evening slots. The series’ own city hub pages continue to push dates in Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk, Białystok, Katowice and Lublin, with individual event pages carrying exact addresses and entry times.

Everlight’s site and the Fundacja Pestka news notice emphasise that the concert arm sits within the charity’s cultural activity, and that more cities would be announced after the spring 2025 launch. That approach has been borne out by the accumulating regional listings through 2026.

Reception: atmosphere first, with praise for players and notes on presentation

Because Everlight is a promoter‑brand rather than a single ensemble, reviews live mostly on local listing platforms. Audience comments on KupBilecik across 2025–26 consistently highlight the candlelit set‑up and the level of playing; specific notes praise vocalists on the rock‑ballads shows and the breadth of repertoire on mixed programmes. There is occasional criticism of spoken links or MC’ing at some dates — a reminder that presenter tone matters in small rooms — but the bulk of feedback trends positive and centres on musicianship and atmosphere. Wrocław’s initial 4 April 2025 night was priced between 85 and 145 złoty according to municipal listings, which positions Everlight below mainstream arena tribute tours and in line with heritage‑room chamber programming.
