A folder marked 2018 to 2023

Jentzen works out of Manchester and has never bothered with an origin story. His Bandcamp page gives a location, Manchester, UK, a booking address at You&Me Music, a SoundCloud link, and nothing else: no biography, no press quotes, no photographs of a childhood record collection. What it does carry is an album called Dubs from old computer (2018-2023), which is about as plain an account of a career as a producer can offer — five years of tracks made, played out, and left on a hard drive until someone asked for them. A second collection, Back2the2015, reaches further back still.

The public catalogue starts later than the music does. Aggregated release data puts his first tracked singles around 2022, with Yuspa and Up There that year, followed in 2023 by Unknown (Baby), Love U Girl and a demo set titled Home In 10. The genre tags attached to him across those listings stay narrow and consistent: house, tech house, minimal and deep tech. Hide & Seek Festival is the only festival credit that shows up in his logged event history, which fits a producer whose reputation grew inside Manchester club rooms rather than on a festival circuit.

Voodoo, and a label that could place him

The release that moved him out of the dubs-and-edits bracket came on 22 March 2024, when Dansu Discs put out the four-track Voodoo EP. It opens with Changes, an acid-inflected four-four cut built around a house beat and a vocal that sits slightly at odds with it; the title track works a single vocal hook hard over a rolling groove; How I Do It is a plain middle-of-the-night club track with nothing decorative in it. The EP closes with Feeling Connected, featuring the vocalist Lourene, which the label pitched as deliberately dark and nostalgic, reaching for the feel of a mid-2000s tech-house record.

Lourene recurs. She appears again on the You&Me material, and the pairing accounts for most of the vocal-led tracks in his discography — a useful thing for a producer whose instrumental work leans on chopped hooks and loops rather than on written toplines. Voodoo also fixed the register he has worked in since: tracks between six and seven minutes long, built for a DJ to mix rather than for a playlist.

Inside the You&Me orbit

The bigger structural change was joining You&Me, a Manchester party and record label that describes itself in exactly those five words and little more. Jentzen's debut there was the Deceitful EP, a four-tracker whose running order takes in Deceitful, Dr Piper, Snakebite and My G Your B with Lourene. The most recent Jentzen record on the label's own Bandcamp is the My Brain EP, and his bookings are handled through You&Me Music.

That affiliation matters more to his live standing than any single record does. You&Me runs its own room-scale events and, as of this season, two full nights of The Warehouse Project, both topped by Josh Baker. Being in the crew rather than a guest on the bill is what puts a producer with a few hundred ticketing-site followers on a line-up alongside Seth Troxler and Enzo Siragusa. It also explains the shape of his diary, which clusters around You&Me's own dates and the northern clubs the label works with.

Edits, bootlegs and the rest of the catalogue

Alongside the label EPs sits a long tail of self-released work that says as much about how he plays as the official records do. His Bandcamp holds a Jentzen Music version of Disclosure's F For You, a remix of Boz Scaggs' Lowdown, a Clubcard Anthem, a Break-Up Mix of Sleepless Nights, and one-off tracks with titles — Superman, Crush On You, The Cheetahmen, Dr Franken, Vanilla Swirl, Crystals, Sequential, Spaced Out — that read like a DJ naming files for himself rather than a producer branding a catalogue. There is also an album called Stressed Out and a contribution to a compilation series under the name Bad Jentz.

The edits are the tell. A producer who keeps a working stock of reworked soul and pop records is building sets that need recognisable moments, not just grooves, and the tracks most often flagged as his best-known — Rock It, Love U Girl, Unknown (Baby), Yuspa, The Cheetahmen — sit on the same side of the line, vocal-forward and blunt.

Autumn 2026: four dates and a warehouse

As of late September 2026 his Skiddle profile lists four upcoming events and 703 followers, tagged simply as a DJ. The diary on his own Bandcamp runs: Depot Mayfield in Manchester on 2 and 3 October, Stealth in Nottingham on 23 October, and Digital in Newcastle upon Tyne on 12 December. A Jelsen VS Jentzen night at Joshua Brooks in Manchester on 26 September is billed as Round 3, making the head-to-head with Jelsen a recurring fixture rather than a one-off; Jelsen also turns up on the Saturday Warehouse Project bill, back to back with Stocked Up and Simmo.

The October dates land inside The Warehouse Project's twentieth season, which runs from 18 September to 31 December 2026 and includes a dedicated 20 Years night on 27 November. You&Me holds the Friday, from 19:00 to 04:00, and the Saturday, an earlier 16:00 start running to 04:00. The published Saturday line-up puts Jentzen back to back with Lily C-D, on a bill that also carries Josh Baker, Prospa, Enzo Siragusa with Chloe Caillet, Dennis Cruz with Seth Troxler, Sidney Charles, Traumer, and Shanti Celeste with Sally C.

One oddity in the listings: he has a Live Nation artist page filed under Dance/Electronic with no shows on it at all. His tickets move through Skiddle and the promoters' own systems, so anyone searching the larger platforms will conclude, wrongly, that he is not working.

What the record does not yet contain

There is no interview with Jentzen in the dance press, no published review of one of his sets, and no chart position worth quoting. What exists is release pages, label copy, ticketing listings and a Bandcamp diary — enough to establish what he makes, who releases it and where he plays, and not enough to say how he is regarded beyond the crew he belongs to. For a producer at this stage that absence is normal rather than damning, but it does mean the October Saturday at Depot Mayfield is the first time his name sits on a document that a national audience will read.
