From a SoundCloud handle to the Tour von Seite: Jero19's slow build out of West Berlin
Eight years after a Pashanim collaboration gave him his first wider hearing, the West Berlin rapper has two EPs with producer Jurij Gold behind him and a first headline tour that has just slipped from late October 2026 into January 2027.
West Berlin, CHB, and a name with a leftover number
Jero19 is a West Berliner, and the titles do most of the geographical work. His debut album, released on 19 October 2018 through Sweet Money Visions, is called CHBkopf — CHB being the shorthand Berliners use for Charlottenburg. A later EP, out on 18 February 2022, is simply called Kantstraße, after the road that runs west out of Zoo station through that district. Nothing in his catalogue is coy about where it was made.
The music predates the album by some way. Before Jero19 there was Jeromino19, a SoundCloud account that still holds the early material; the number survived the rename and the rest of it fell away. One of the lines on CHBkopf itself — "Schon damals nur Hits, guck Soundcloud" — points back at that stretch, which places the start of the work several years earlier than any official release date suggests.
The 2018 album also carried the track that first moved him beyond his own circle: Pasha X Jero, a collaboration with Pashanim. It is a pre-Covid Berlin record, built on the sound that city was making at the time, and it has had unusual staying power — eight years on it remains among his most-played songs on streaming services, sitting alongside material released in 2026.
Six years of EPs, then the T-numbers
Between the debut and the present there is a steady, unhurried release schedule with no obvious commercial breakthrough in it. L1 + Dreieck arrived on 25 June 2021, For All the People I Love on 29 October 2021, Kantstraße on 18 February 2022, Schnee3p on 8 March 2024. Four EPs in under three years, none of which changed his position much.
The shift came with GENAUSO WAR'S, released on 27 September 2024 and made with the producer Jurij Gold. The record also introduced the organising device that now runs through his work: tracks are numbered rather than simply titled, so the sequence opens with T01 "INTRO" and T02 "IRGENDWANN" and continues from there. SCHMETTERLING EP, out on 12 September 2025, carries the count up to T19, with the title track issued as a single on 11 September, a day ahead of the EP.
The songs are short. T02 "IRGENDWANN" runs 2:30, Um die Welt 2:14, Life is good 2:20; most of the catalogue sits under two and a half minutes. Those two Jurij Gold EPs are also where his strongest streaming numbers are concentrated, and the pair of them closed with a release show that sold out — the first hard evidence that the online audience would turn up to a room.
Reime von Seite, and what the format bought him
What changed the trajectory in 2024 was not a record but a video format. Reime von Seite — rhymes from the side of the road, more or less — ran on his social accounts and is the thing his promoters now credit for the attention that followed. It also gave him the phrase he has since hung everything else on, including the name of his first tour.
The scale of what it opened up is visible in what he was asked to do next. In May 2025 Red Bull used him to launch a new season of its 60 Seconds series, part of the Red Bull Rap 100 strand, and put him in the Olympiastadion to perform — a deliberate inversion of the format that made him, swapping a roadside for an 70,000-seat bowl. That piece went up on 24 May 2025.
Jurij Gold has been on every recent release, and is billed as a multi-platinum-grade name in his own right by the promoters putting the shows on. The partnership is credited on the EPs, and it is unusual in that the producer is also being advertised as part of the live proposition rather than left in the studio.
Where things stand in autumn 2026
Since SCHMETTERLING he has worked almost entirely in singles, and at a fast clip: Undso on 5 December 2025, Keine Stars on 27 February 2026, Life is good on 10 April 2026, Schaden in mein Dach on 19 June 2026, a remix of T01 "INTRO" on 10 July 2026 and Um die Welt on 7 August 2026. The most recent is EUROS (Remix), released on 4 September 2026 as a one-track single. No third EP or album has been announced.
He has started doing press outside the hip-hop trade channels as well — an interview recorded with Kanal C, the student radio station in Augsburg, went out on 2 June 2026, covering among other things where the 19 in the name comes from. On the business side he is on the roster at Kante, a booking agency whose other artists include Alligatoah, RAF Camora and Juju; that agency's own site was still described as under construction when checked, which is a fair indicator of how recently the arrangement was set up.
The significant development, though, is that the tour has moved. The Berlin venue's listing for 31 October 2026 now carries a notice that the show has been pushed to 23 January 2027, and a second entry for that January date has been added to its calendar. Ticketing listings now show the run as Hamburg on 21 January, Cologne on 22 January and Berlin on 23 January 2027, all with 20:00 starts. The Hamburg promoter's own event page had not caught up at the time of writing and still advertised 30 October 2026. No public explanation for the move has been given.
What the shows are set up to be
The Tour von Seite is a club run, not a hall tour: Hebebühne in Hamburg, Yuca in Cologne, Hole44 on Hermannstraße in Berlin. Doors at 19:00, music at 20:00, and £-equivalent pricing of €28 in Hamburg. Jurij Gold travels with the tour rather than staying home with the records he produced.
The pitch being made is specifically about performance. The billing states, in plain terms, that these are not playback shows with a bit of lip-sync over a backing track, and the word used for what is promised instead is "stabile" — stable, meaning it will hold up without the record underneath it. That is a pointed thing to advertise in a scene where short, hook-led tracks are often delivered over a full instrumental-plus-vocal bed, and it sets a bar the tour will be measured against.
Because the January dates are the first headline shows under his own name, there is no body of live reviews yet to test any of this. What exists is the sold-out EP release show in 2025 and the Olympiastadion filming, neither of which is quite the same thing as carrying ninety minutes in a dark room on a Friday in Cologne.
The show, now
The Tour von Seite is Jero19's first headline run, and as of early October 2026 it has not yet played a night — the dates originally set for the end of October 2026 have been moved, with the Berlin venue confirming its 31 October show is now 23 January 2027, and listings showing Hamburg on 21 January, Cologne on 22 January and Berlin on 23 January. That means there are no reviews of the tour to report, and nothing fan-side beyond the fact that the 2025 EP release show sold out. What is documented is the shape of it: three clubs rather than halls (Hebebühne in Hamburg, Yuca in Cologne, Hole44 on Hermannstraße in Berlin), doors at 19:00 and performance from 20:00, €28 on the door in Hamburg, with producer Jurij Gold on the road as part of the bill rather than a separate support act. The promoters are explicit about the format — no playback set with light lip-sync over a finished track, but a live vocal performance they describe as holding up on its own. The material available to build a set from is two Jurij Gold EPs running T01 to T19, the seven singles released between December 2025 and September 2026, and the 2018 Pashanim collaboration that remains one of his most-streamed songs; almost all of it runs under two and a half minutes, so a club-length set means a high song count rather than long passages.
