Songs out of the drawer: Kajetan Wolas takes his TikTok demos into the clubs
A Kraków songwriter who moved from bedroom guitar covers to a Sony Music deal in three years, Wolas spent 2026 releasing the tracks his audience already knew by heart — and takes them on a four-date Polish tour in October.
Kraków, a guitar and a platform ban
Kajetan Wolas grew up in Kraków singing, and taught himself guitar in the afternoons after school by learning covers to post on TikTok. The route was not smooth: he has described an early ban from the platform that stalled his account before the collective Łatwogang pulled him back into circulation and the numbers began to move.
He has been careful, since, about what that origin makes him. Speaking to Interia around the release of his debut album, he drew the line plainly: he is not a TikToker, he said, but an artist who happens to be on TikTok. On genre he is less defensive — he told the same outlet he has no problem with anyone calling him a rapper, while describing what he actually makes as a fusion of hip-hop and pop with R&B underneath, and identifying more as a singer than an MC.
The platform has stayed central to the method rather than the image. Songs get aired in fragments, live in front of an audience that learns them long before a release date exists, and the reaction decides what gets finished. That inversion — audience first, catalogue second — explains most of what he has done since.
Magiera, and a year of silence
The first formal release came in 2023: an EP called SAD, made with the producer Magiera, six tracks built around mental health, growing up and the wear of close relationships. It carried guests — Kuba Karaś and Zuza Jabłońska appear on "Pamiętasz nas?" — and established the register he has not really left, which is confessional rather than combative.
Then he stopped. A year passed with no solo material. He surfaced again on 3 October 2024 with an interlude titled "Z TOBĄ", released through Sony Music Entertainment Poland after a summer spent on festival stages as part of Projekt WOW. The press note around it named his reference points, and they are British: Sampha, Loyle Carner, Yussef Dayes, Jorja Smith. That list reads as a fair description of the records that followed — jazz chords, spoken-edge phrasing, drums that swing rather than thump.
He has since described the producer relationships in similar terms of fit rather than hierarchy. The work with Magiera, he told Interia, felt close to what he wanted; Moo Latte's instincts turned out to be closer still, and it was Moo Latte who shaped the sound of the debut.
"bar", television, and a debut that arrived on time
The track that widened the audience was "bar". It carried him to the semi-final of Polsat's Must Be The Music and passed a million Spotify streams on its own — the point at which a regional following became a national one.
The debut album followed in June 2025 under the initials TMSW, short for "To musiało się wydarzyć" — it had to happen. He has framed the record as a document of the tension between wanting the career and keeping the work honest, and the phrase doubles as a shrug at his own trajectory. By the end of 2025 his catalogue had passed 3.5 million Spotify plays.
The album put him on the road for the first time properly. The To musiało się wydarzyć Tour ran through October 2025 — Wrocław on the 17th, Poznań the following night at w_sercu on al. Niepodległości, tickets from 79 złotys, promoted by SIRYO. He added a Gdańsk date at Scena MONK on 4 February 2026. Those were rooms where the audience already sang the words back, which is what a TikTok-first catalogue buys an artist at that scale.
Numbers from the drawer
The second album is titled Numery z Szuflady — numbers from the drawer — and the concept is literal. These are songs that had already lived a life on social media before he judged them finished, released one at a time across 2026 rather than dropped as a block.
"obiecuję" opened the run on 30 January 2026, a song about homesickness and the place things started, which lands differently given that he had by then left Kraków for Warsaw. "bez zmian" followed on 20 February, warmer and closer to radio R&B. On 10 April came "za późno", a duet with Natalia Szroeder produced by Duit, its emotional hinge the line "martwię się o ciebie, martwię się o nas" — I worry about you, I worry about us — with a video that leans on choreography rather than narrative. "kochaj mnie" followed, and then "ludzik" on 3 July, produced by Moo Latte, the fifth instalment.
Talking to Interia while the album was one track from complete, Wolas described the shift it represents: away from rap and towards piano-led songwriting, built largely with Moo Latte and ciiicho. He said the whole record was made to give people what they had been waiting for, and that he wants listeners to find a guilty pleasure in it. The long-requested "Sam na sam" is expected to be on it. The album is scheduled for autumn 2026.
Playing the songs before they exist
Between the singles, Wolas built an unusual live habit. Through spring 2026 he ran a series of small solo shows — the Numery z Szuflady Live dates, and meet-ups he called "Spotkajmy się" — playing roughly forty minutes of unreleased material alone at a piano, then sitting down with the audience to colour in afterwards.
The Kraków instalment on 12 March 2026 took place at Café Szafe on Felicjanek, a café room rather than a music venue, billed as an intimate solo meeting focused on direct contact with the audience. It sold out.
This is the same logic as the TikTok drops moved into a physical space: the song gets tested in front of people, and their response is part of the edit. It also means his live audience arrives at the bigger rooms already familiar with material that has no release date.
Where things stand, September 2026
The most recent release carrying his name is not his own. On 14 August 2026 Grubson issued "SPOSÓB", the third single from his Szlaki project on Universal Music, with Wolas as guest vocalist — a summer record built on organic instrumentation and a dance rhythm, and a deliberate pairing of an established rapper with someone a generation younger.
The tour was announced on 22 July 2026 and is promoted by Live Nation, a step up from the independent promoters behind the 2025 run. Four dates are on sale: Poznań at Muzyka na Nowo on 10 October, Kraków at Klub Gwarek on 15 October, Warsaw at Hydrozagadka on 21 October and Wrocław at Momenty on 31 October. Tickets start at 91.90 złotys for Kraków, Warsaw and Wrocław, and 101.90 for Poznań.
What is not yet settled is the album itself. Six singles into the Numery z Szuflady sequence, the full record still has an autumn 2026 window and no announced date — which leaves the October tour running either just before it or just after it, and either way selling songs the audience has been carrying around on their phones for the better part of a year.
The show, now
The current run is four club shows across October 2026 — Muzyka na Nowo in Poznań on the 10th, Klub Gwarek in Kraków on the 15th, Hydrozagadka in Warsaw on the 21st and Momenty in Wrocław on the 31st — promoted by Live Nation, with tickets from 91.90 złotys and no support acts listed on the ticketing pages. The set draws on the Numery z Szuflady singles released across 2026 alongside material from the 2025 debut TMSW, and the immediate precedent for how he performs it is the spring 2026 series: solo dates of roughly forty minutes at the piano, playing songs that had not been released, followed by sitting with the audience rather than leaving the stage. The Kraków instalment of that series, at Café Szafe on 12 March 2026, sold out. The October rooms are larger and the material is now public, but the pattern of an audience that already knows unreleased songs from social media holds. No reviews of the autumn run exist yet — it has not started.
