A campus festival, a hashtag and a slow reveal

LNGSHOT are the first idol group from More Vision, the independent label founded by Jay Park, the rapper and singer who became the first Asian artist signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation and has since spent much of his energy building companies. The group's name comes from the basketball term, a point the members return to in interviews. Their arrival was handled unlike a conventional debut. In August 2025 the four appeared unannounced at a Hanyang University festival in Seoul and performed unreleased material before the label had confirmed who was in the group. Members were then revealed piece by piece on social media in obscured photographs tagged with the phrase "middle finger to the norm", until the full roster was confirmed on 20 September 2025.

Rather than hold everything back for a single launch day, More Vision put music out first. The 4shoboiz Mixtape arrived on 5 November 2025, and the pre-debut single "Saucin'", whose video featured Park himself, followed in December. The same month the group performed at the Melon Music Awards. The official debut came on 13 January 2026 with the EP Shot Callers and its lead single "Moonwalkin'", and the group appeared on M Countdown that day.

Who is in the group

The line-up is four members, all born between 2006 and 2010. Ohyul, born 21 January 2006, is leader and lead vocalist and spent five years as a trainee at KOZ Entertainment before joining More Vision. Ryul, born 18 September 2006, is main rapper and a credited songwriter; he trained for three years and appeared on the rap competition Rap:Public. Woojin, born 8 March 2008, is main dancer and lead rapper with six years of training behind him.

The member who has drawn most attention is Louis, born 1 May 2010 and fifteen at the time of debut. His full name is Louis Elliot Jourdain Lim; he has a French father and a Korean mother, attended the Lycée Français de Séoul for eight years, and speaks Korean, French, English and some Spanish. He is the first French member of a K-pop boy group. He trained for roughly two years and co-wrote the track "Remedy" with Ohyul and Park. The group's fans are known as Shotties, a name announced on 21 April 2026.

The records so far

Shot Callers did what a debut is meant to do. The EP peaked at number three on the Korean album chart and number 28 in Japan, and sold 166,451 copies in Korea. "Moonwalkin'" travelled across the region, reaching number five in Taiwan, ten in Malaysia, thirteen in New Zealand and sixteen in Singapore, and entered the Billboard Global Excl. US chart at 180. A video for the album track "FaceTime" followed on 27 January 2026.

The release cadence has been fast. A second EP, Training Day, arrived on 23 March 2026 and peaked at number ten in Korea with around 30,000 sales. On 18 May 2026 came 4shoboiz Vol. 2: 4shoville, a mixtape billed jointly with Jay Park, which peaked at number seven at home and sold 107,930 copies. Musically the group sit on the hip-hop and R&B side of K-pop, in keeping with Park's own catalogue, and members have been credited as writers from the earliest tracks rather than handed finished songs. No further release has been announced since May.

Where they stand in September 2026

Recognition came quickly. Billboard Korea named LNGSHOT its Rookie of the Month for February 2026, within weeks of the debut. Later came a Brand Customer Loyalty Award as male rookie idol, a New Overseas Group prize at the Weibo International Entertainment Awards, and on 24 July 2026 both Global Rising Star and New Artist at the KM Chart Awards. In February the group was reported to have six million monthly Spotify listeners; the Wembley listing for October quotes more than five million.

The live calendar has been busy for a group so new. Fan-logged setlists record a set at ComplexCon Hong Kong on 21 March 2026, a Seoul festival slot at Yeouido Hangang Park on 3 May, and K-Expo USA at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on 24 May. On 28 June 2026 they headlined the NBA Rising Stars Invitational at the Kallang in Singapore, a booking that leaned on the basketball theme in their name. Interviewed there, Ryul described basketball as "a strategic sport, not only physically but also mentally", adding that "we have to strategise to achieve one unified goal".

The most significant development is the tour. Since early September 2026 LNGSHOT have been the special guests on Jay Park's world tour, Serenades & Body Rolls, which runs through Latin America, North America and Europe. It opened with a night at Vibra São Paulo on 3 September and two at the Auditorio BlackBerry in Mexico City on 5 and 6 September, before crossing into the United States.

What the show is like

LNGSHOT do not yet headline. On this tour they are billed as special guests and play before Park's own set, so the format is a support slot in mid-sized theatres and ballrooms rather than an arena production of their own. In New York on 11 September the show is at the Infosys Theater at Madison Square Garden, with doors at eight and a nine o'clock start. The North American leg then takes in the Theatre at Great Canadian Toronto on 13 September, the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago on 15 September, Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix on 20 September and the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on 22 September.

Europe follows in October: AFAS Live in Amsterdam on 6 October, COS Torwar in Warsaw on 10 October, Fabrique in Milan on 17 October, then OVO Arena Wembley in London on Monday 26 October with doors at 6.30pm, and the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on 28 October. Wembley standing tickets are restricted to over-14s, with 14- and 15-year-olds admitted only with an adult, which says something about who is buying.

The songs fans have logged most often in 2026 are "Moonwalkin'", "Saucin'", "Never Let Go", "FaceTime" and "Backseat", so a support set draws on the debut EP and the pre-debut single with little padding. Professional reviews of the tour's opening dates in Brazil and Mexico had not been published by mid-September, and the picture of the shows so far comes from fan-logged setlists.
