Mita Gami and the rationed back-to-back: a Tel Aviv producer closing other people's rooms

Mita Gami is one half of the Israeli pair behind the Maccabi House imprint, a producer who went from Tel Aviv studios to a Coachella double booking in 2024 and spent the 2026 Ibiza season closing the island's biggest rooms. A new single landed in October 2026 and the diary now runs through Tokyo, Dubai and Brazil to Day Zero in January.

A sound with a postcode

Mita Gami's career is hard to separate from the city it came out of. He belongs to a cluster of Israeli producers whose records crossed borders well before their names did, and he has been consistent about framing that as a matter of sound rather than flag. Asked in April 2024 what it meant to be representing Israel on a Coachella stage, he said the sound coming out of Tel Aviv is unique and the movement around it recognisable. Adam Ten, his most frequent collaborator, was quicker to deflect the geography and insist it stays about the music.

Rather than waiting for a European label to adopt them, the two built the institution themselves. Maccabi House started as a route to market for their own material and widened into a platform for other producers working the same circuit in Tel Aviv. By spring 2024 the pair had co-written more than thirty tracks under its roof, which is an unusual volume for a partnership that also maintains two separate solo careers.

The music itself resists a single genre tag. Gami has described the Maccabi House palette as a combination of funk, indie dance and tech house; Adam Ten has called it psychedelic house with an Israeli inflection. In practice that means percussion-led tracks with melodic and occasionally rock-adjacent material folded in, built for rooms where a set runs for hours rather than for a festival main-stage slot measured in minutes.

Records, and whose logo they carry

Before Maccabi House carried the bulk of the output, Gami's productions went out through two of the more selective European houses in this corner of dance music: Solomun's Diynamic and Damian Lazarus's Rebellion. Those are the credits that tend to open doors in Ibiza and Tulum, and they explain how a producer with a comparatively small streaming footprint ended up on bills with much larger names.

The clearest crossover record so far is Million Pieces, released on Maccabi House on 30 May 2025 and credited to Adam Ten and Mita Gami featuring Marina Maximilian. It runs barely three minutes, which is short for the format, and it uses Maximilian as a lead vocal rather than as texture. A remix package followed, with versions from Kino Todo and Malive, the usual sign that a track has done enough in clubs to be worth a second pass.

His most recent release is Looking For You, out on Maccabi House on 16 October 2026 and credited to him alone. Electronic Groove described it as pulling hypnotic rhythms and darker textures against warm melodic passages, and framed it as a more introspective record than the dancefloor material that preceded it without losing the function. The extended mix is the version that went to Beatport, which is where the working DJ edits of his catalogue tend to live.

How the name travelled

The breakthrough was not a festival booking but an art car. The pair's 2022 Burning Man appearance on the Mayan Warrior gave them their first substantial North American exposure, and the Mayan Warrior association has followed them since, including to the party's Ibiza edition. That lineage matters for understanding the shows: Mayan Warrior slots are sunrise slots, with no support-act hierarchy and no fixed set length, and a lot of what Gami does in clubs is an attempt to reproduce that arc indoors.

Dancing Astronaut named both Adam Ten and Mita Gami Artists to Watch for 2024, and the year delivered on it. At Coachella that April they played one of the festival's few exclusive back-to-back sets, appearing in the Yuma Tent — the site's house and techno room — and separately opening for RÜFÜS DU SOL at the Quasar Stage. Two bookings at the same festival in two very different contexts is a reasonable summary of where the project sits: credible enough for the heads' tent, legible enough to warm up an arena-scale live act.

They are deliberate about not overusing the joint billing. Asked about the balance between solo work and the duo, Gami said they like to keep the back-to-backs for the special moments. The consequence is that most dates on his calendar are solo, and the b2b is held back for closing nights and festival anchors.

Late 2026: a full Ibiza season, then south

The 2026 Ibiza season was the busiest of his career to date and it ran through the island's largest venues rather than its boutique ones. On 2 October he played Marco Carola's Music On at Pacha. A week later, on Friday 9 October, he closed the Hï Ibiza season in The Theatre as Adam Ten back-to-back Mita Gami, on a bill that also carried Black Coffee, The Martinez Brothers and Paco Osuna, with the party scheduled from 23:30 through to 11:00.

Earlier in the year, Billboard published his complete set from CRSSD Spring 2026 in San Diego — a full-set publication rather than a review, which is a fair indicator of how this material is consumed. For a producer at this level the recorded set, not the press notice, is the primary artefact, and his are circulated and archived in detail.

From there the routing leaves Europe entirely. Confirmed dates run 14 November 2026 at Womb in Shibuya, Tokyo; 28 November at Bohemia Beach Club on Five Palm Jumeirah in Dubai; 5 December in Mexico City; 26 December in Punta del Este, Uruguay; 28 December at Réveillon Carneiros on Praia dos Carneiros in Brazil; and 9 January 2027 at Day Zero in Tulum. It is a southern-hemisphere-summer schedule built around New Year and the Tulum season, with Japan and the Gulf taken on the way.

The audience numbers remain modest against the size of the rooms: Songkick lists 3,925 people tracking his dates. The platform files him alongside Bedouin, Dixon, Lee Burridge and Oliver Koletzki, which is an accurate read of the booking tier even if the follower count lags it. Bookings are handled internationally through Alegria Agency, with a separate contact for Israeli dates.

What the show actually is

There is no production rig to speak of, and that is the point. Gami is booked as a DJ into rooms that supply their own staging — Hï's Theatre, Pacha, Womb — or into open-air environments where the staging is the site itself. The variable he controls is duration and sequencing, and the slots he takes are long ones: the Hï closing ran eleven and a half hours across a shared bill, and Day Zero and Mayan Warrior both work on rolling lineups timed to sunrise rather than on a headliner-plus-support structure.

The format question that actually affects what gets played is whether Adam Ten is on the bill. Solo, the set is Gami's own catalogue and edits; paired, the two trade, and they ration those appearances to closings and festival anchors on purpose. Anyone buying for a specific experience should check which of the two configurations is advertised, because they are not interchangeable.

The show, now

A Mita Gami show in late 2026 is a DJ set, not a production show, and the venue supplies the staging: the Ibiza season put him in Pacha for Marco Carola's Music On on 2 October and in The Theatre at Hï Ibiza for the closing party on 9 October, a bill running 23:30 to 11:00 that also carried Black Coffee, The Martinez Brothers and Paco Osuna. There is no opening act in the conventional sense — these are shared, rolling line-ups, and at Day Zero in Tulum on 9 January 2027 and on the Mayan Warrior, where the pair first broke through in North America in 2022, the set is timed to sunrise rather than to a headline slot. The material is his own catalogue and edits, percussion-led with melodic and rock-adjacent elements folded in, drawn from Maccabi House releases including Million Pieces and the October 2026 single Looking For You. The single biggest variable is whether Adam Ten is billed: the two trade back-to-back, but they hold that configuration back for closings and festival anchors, and Gami has said they keep the back-to-backs for special moments. The recorded sets are the public record more than any review is — Billboard published his complete CRSSD Spring 2026 set from San Diego in full. Current confirmed dates run Womb in Tokyo on 14 November 2026, Bohemia Beach Club in Dubai on 28 November, Mexico City on 5 December, Punta del Este on 26 December and Praia dos Carneiros in Brazil on 28 December.
